Your room is a retired Boeing 737 in the jungle with ocean views.

And you’re about to shower in its cockpit!

It’s a plane and a hotel at the same time.

This hotel was originally an airplane made in 1965 and used by South African Airways.

Once retired, the pieces of the plane were transported to the hotel from San Jose Airport in large trucks.

Today it’s surrounded by palm trees, vines and plenty of other flora and fauna. And there is also an on-site restaurant.

Its interiors have been decked out with teak wood and two decks were made.

This is just one suite of the hotel but it's also the most famous one.

This is not an ultra luxury hotel experience but it is an ultra unusual story.

And people love to tell unusual stories.

Note: These stories are here to inspire. However, we are not saying their realisation is perfect.

What can you learn from this example to improve your hotel?
