Definition of LUXURY CHANGED than what it used to be 30 years ago.

Status is showed much differently and value is perceived in education, experience driven goods and services that make one’s life easier.

CONVENIENCE is the one most valued. It never gets explicitly expressed but it’s the one always assumed.

Having something build, made, set, done for one’s convenience saves both time and energy. AND people are ready to pay money for it.

EXAMPLES can be silly, from quick a/c set up and local recommendations presented effectively to poorly designed toilet bowl which always stays dirty or evening room service that sets up guest’s room for completely wrong guest’s evening habits such as watching tv.

Noting can make up for the lack of convenience. It would be too late since time and energy are already gone into frustration and effort.

Frying pens which stick WILL RUIN the whole breakfast that was supposed to gather family instead of going out.

Lack of drier in a bathroom that has bad ventilation WILL AMPLIFY THE MASS because of condensation.

Owners usually don’t want to admit such omissions as their responsibility and rather think of it as external circumstances.

To ensure convenience try out every single thing in your hotel JUST AS IF YOU WERE YOUR OWN GUEST.

Find things that annoy you, loose your time or have no real purpose but can make trouble.

Be your own guest. Fix everything that is inconvenient. You’ll do your hotel a favor.
