Having signature embroidered sheet set doesn’t make you a five star hotel.

I know you know there are STANDARDS for a five star hotel to actually be a five star hotel.

Yet, that doesn’t stop you to have an ILLUSION your hotel is better then it really is when you do stuff like embroidered sheet.

Yes, it’s nice. But no, it’s not enough per se.

And now you’re saying “of course it’s not enough, but we already have an amazing service and this is just cherry on the cake.”

And I wish I could believe you!

It’s TEMPTING to do stuff like this and many other which impress and sound luxurious.

And that is fine. As long as you PREVIOUSLY took care of BASELINE SERVICE and its quality.

It’s something everyone will understand but then again there are many hotels who offer extravagant experiences while basic things appear sometimes even EMBARRASSING.

It’s better to start small but PRACTICE very high level of operations and service quality. Then add as many cherries on the top as you want.
