You should use guest reviews to enhance your operations, offer and service. But, this might already be TOO LATE.
AND speaking the truth, you KNOW who had a bad experience and who was super satisfied.
If you don’t, you were NOT present in your service. You were not showing up for a guest, but for the business.
It’s DURING THE STAY that you can act proactively and fix things along the way BEFORE they leave that bad review.
But, the REAL IMPORTANT question is what would that guest who did not bother to leave a review have to say about your hotel?
Why is this important? Well, the secret is these people might just be your ideal guests!
They are easy going people who take responsibility for their bad choices, respect their and your time and energy and just go on with the conclusion NOT to come back again.
BAM! Good for them, bad for you.
These are the people to go ABOVE & BEYOND for.
Listen and provide them with what they really need, not just what they paid for. But that too!
They might not write review but they will do something MUCH MORE POWERFUL – word of mouth marketing.
Not only will they come back but they will also recommend you to their circles.
BAM! Good for them, good for you.
WARNING: many hotels answer reviews inappropriately. They defend themselves, send annoying generic responses missing to deepen the relation and even accuse the guest proving them wrong. This is UNACCEPTABLE.
Find out what your guests think and feel about your hotel, especially the ones YOU enjoy hosting.
Don’t be afraid to hear whatever they have to say. Remarkable results come from the courage to change.
